THE POWER OF POSITIVITY TO CREATE HOPE FOR CALMING THE MIND & BODY

Everyone has experienced difficult times (loss, depression, anxiety, etc) at some point in their lives. We all know to some degree of what it feels like. Do the people have the adequate support that they need to get them through or are they suffering alone trying to cope the best that they can? Everyone needs support. This is why I wanted to create this page to bring that critical support to those who need it. Metaphorically, support is like a torch that lights the way in the darkness.
Bringing hope is critical in showing the love to people who need it the most to help them avoid those thoughts of feeling like no one cares and that they want to give up. We have to be there for those who are in that state of being, to light the way.
The torch of HOPE is here to light the way. The support is here. You are not alone in the darkness. Fear is not the end of the story. Hope is here to warm you and help you find your way through the difficult times.
News flash! People out here in the world that do care about your wellbeing! Your welfare is important , you are important. We want everyone to be happy and doing well, so we find that it is important to have the knowledge of how to know how to navigate the difficulties that come.
This is why we here at Brilliant U put up this page to get your that information NOW which is a game changer from surviving/ drowning to getting through and thriving!

Ask yourself these questions:
- What do you need right now?
- What can you do? (What coping skills are you utilizing? Are they working for you? Are they healthy choices?)
- What soothes you? What brings you joy? What comforts you?
- Do that!
- If you are having a hard time soothing yourself- Are you open and willing to trying new coping mechanisms/skills that could be more effective?
- If you are overwhelmed – seek help from a caring professional ASAP! They are out there willing to help!
Here are some suggestions on HOW TO COPE WELL:
- COPING SKILLS TO HANDLE THE SITUATION YOU ARE ENCOUNTERING –
- GET TO A QUIET PLACE
- BREATHE. CLOSE YOUR EYES. DE-STIMULATE.
- Give yourself the time to relax & calm the mind and body.
- KEEP PRAYING FOR GUIDENCE & FOR THE LORD TO BE WITH YOU THROUGH EVERYTHING.
- POSITIZE YOUR THOUGHTS -Focus your thoughts to help in the Self-soothing
- Gratefulness for being alive
- What can you be grateful for. Even if it is the smallest thing.
- Positive Affirmations

- Write thoughts down in a journal if need be to get negativity expressed and then build to stabilize yourself
- Gratefulness for being alive
- FIND SUPPORT! Reach out! If you are having a hard time calming down or getting balanced again find support.
- Call friends.
- Do you have a friend that can provide a hug? There is power in hugs.
- Emotional support is available. People do care. You have to seek it out. Finding them is the ticket.
- SELF CARE! SELF CARE ! (Some SUGGESTIONS Find it on our website’s Top Menu Bar under “Excellent Self Care”)
- BASICS:
- Have you eaten protein in last couple of hours -something healthy?
- Are you drinking water regularly?
- Have you slept?
- Have you been or are you feeling sick?
- BASICS:
- FIND PURPOSE – MEANING – Sharing the knowledge by paying forward/giving back – When you are stabilized and doing good- think about how to help. It can help to maintain the stabilization achieved.
- WARM HEARTS-
- Give back to the less fortunate.
- Give a smile
- Give fist bump
- People you know – Hugs (“Would you like a hug?” – Not comfortable with that level of closeness. “It’s ok – How about a fist bump?”)

Never give up hope. I know it can be easy to feel like no one cares, but don’t isolate yourself. Seek out people in helping organizations if you have to. People are out there to help you to meet the needs that you might have.
